That’s a cop-out. Don’t fall for Lloyd’s carefully crafted BS.

Lloyd was dialed up to 11 and if you don’t believe me, spend an evening analysing those letters he sent to his wife.

He wanted to publicly humiliate her (with hookers and online dates) in a rather conservative/religious corner of Europe and viciously gaslit her when she refused.

Not being content with that, he advertised it all over exJW-land that she didn’t sexually satisfy him, so that’s why he felt forced to stray.

In many countries he’d be strung up by his balls in the public square. Had her parents not been JWs, they might have considered just that.

He’s 45 going on 18. At that age you’ve either succeeded or failed. If people have to spur him on “to succeed” at age 45, it means something went drastically wrong and he still hasn’t established himself as a functioning adult.

He really has no self awareness and thinks little before he posts. Who doesn’t have challenging situations in their life? All he wants to do is blame that for being perpetually underemployed.

let’s try to keep this non-partisan - just give your opinion and why you think that way.. i’ll go first.

i think jws would generally lean to the right, but not by a whole lot.

Rutherford was a supporter and campaigner for Democratic presidential candidate William Jennings Bryan

I had to google that name - interesting. Bryan is described generally as a liberal for that era - anti-war, against big business, but maintained his support for prohibition of alcohol, held deep religious beliefs and campaigned against the teaching of evolution.

Actually sounds kind of MAGAish.

I can see why Rutherford was attracted to him though. Known as a “great orator”, it would seem the Judge shared just about every ambition of Bryan’s with the exception of Prohibition and support for women’s right to vote.

Knorr and FW Franz are 1950s era Republicans imo. True, they hated the clergy as much as Rutherford did, but they were high on their own hierarchy and self-righteousness. Both despised the 60s counter-culture and tightened the rules on sex and dating.

I find JWs a curious mix of the two sides of the political spectrum. They can and do share some progressive ideals but they’d have big problems with where the left lands on the culture wars. I spoke to my JW brother a few months ago and he was going on and on about transgenders and “Sodom and Gomorrah”. Still plenty of those types of JWs still in.

I’ll go first. I think JWs would generally lean to the right, but not by a whole lot. This is based on their more traditional views on family, and I think the left’s embrace of transgenderism and non-traditional life choices would alienate most.

However, I think a significant minority would be put off by the new-right’s populism and it would seem to them to be at odds with the JW creed of “every tribe and nation”.

I’d say they’d spilt 60-40 towards the right.

His lack of proficiency in Croatian indicates that they only spoke English at home and that he leaned heavily on his wife to do the speaking in public. Just like it was with the “translation” business! Years ago I lived for over a year in a country with a similar language to Croatian, and one does need to get out and “jump in” so to speak. It’s the only way to learn a new language outside of intensive studies.

As Lloyd cannot be easily instructed without him taking offence, language classes (if they were even attempted) wouldn’t have lasted long. Learning a language requires patience and one must adhere to constant correction not only in vocabulary and grammar, but in intonation and pronunciation. That alone would irritate him to the point of storming out.

As we all know from what the letters said, Jabba the Hutt was a pathetic creature at home, spending all day scrolling on exJW bullshit and chatting with his online English speaking “friends”. As he’s transitioned to life as a bachelor in Zagreb, I would venture that his Croatian has marginally improved, though he could be still residing in an expat English speaking bubble.

PS - His videos are hardly getting the views anymore. He‘s back to putting out regular “sushis” as a way to keep viewers engaged but it’s not working.

To go along with Nic’s point, I think at this point, this thread is best used to track monthly Patreon declines and provide updates such as new court filings and stupid shit he posts.

I’m old enough to remember how Andrew Gold mentioned his loss of financial support and he quickly retorted “there are more people who support me than those who fell victim to the defamation campaign”. Now he’s roughly at 1/3rd the support he had at one point and still sinking.

He’s his own worst enemy, so let’s watch his continuing decline from afar. Doesn’t appear that we need to do or say anything. He’s irrelevant.

All because he didn’t want to apologise and viciously attacked all those who spoke up against him.

FWIW There is a poster who posts on this thread occasionally who went to the Wilmslow congregation with Lloyd. Lloyd himself confirmed (on X) that he did when this fellow took a selfie with Kim Silvio in front of the Wilmslow hall.

He has stated that he knows the true identity of “Geoffrey”, the girl in question, and expressed his view that they will eventually come out and talk about what Lloyd did - such was their anger at him.

In a footnote in TRA, Lloyd stated that Geoffrey was removed as an elder in 2014. So there could be some fire that results from all this smoke.
